Kelly Smith
Creekside Show Stables
 Owner / Trainer

With over 15 years professional experience in the horse business, Kelly Smith presents a strong background and outstanding credentials.
As a professional horsewoman, Kelly's experience is well rounded and includes training, coaching and showing at every level, from Futurity Hunter Champions to the Grand Prix Ring.  Some of Kelly's career highlights include being named the 2001 World Champion Hunter Rider and winning the 2002 Legacy Cup Championship. 
Kelly believes that a strong foundation with an emphasis on solid equitation and overall quality horsemanship directly relates to success in any equestrian discipline.  Kelly has proven the success of her program time and again with numerous USEF and Regional Association Year-End Champions and Horse of the Year Awards.

With a knack for finding and developing quality young horses, here is a list of some of the Champions Kelly has started, discovered and/or trained:

Our Facilities

Tullymore Farm is located at  the historic Lake Oswego Hunt. Built in 1936, this is a facility steeped in rich equestrian tradition.  This wonderful facility has been home to many famous horsemen over the years, and it is no wonder why.

Facilities include:

A large  90' x 220' indoor arena

70 box stalls,

Clubhouse / Lounge 

Multiple turnouts, 

Wash rack with hot and cold water 

30 X 70 meter outdoor ring, 

20 X 60 meter dressage ring, 

Polo field, 

1/2 mile galloping track, 

Permanent cross country jumps.

Access to trails in Iron Mountain Park

Numerous annual in-house horse shows, trials, and clinics.

With over 30 years of experience,  Gail has had much success training riders that have successfully competed in everything from cross rails to Grand Prix events, also training CET (Canadian Equestrian Team) Medal finalists and many year- end champions. 

Gail’s passion is training children and adults with a positive and empowering approach to the learning process, while helping every rider reach their maximum potential. 

Additionally, Gail possesses extensive credentials as a trained Equine Animal Health Technician; thereby providing an exceptional understanding of all equine health and lameness related issues.

Gail has had the pleasure of working with some of the best in the equine industry, thereby traveling worldwide over the course of her career. Highlights include: the 1988 Seoul Olympics with Laura Tidball-Balisky and the great Lavendel 48; frequent trips to Spruce Meadows (Calgary Canada); and numerous World Cup Finals and Nations Cup events.

Owned and operated by Gail Stuart-Bowles, “Tullymore Farm” offers individually-tailored programs for our clients and their horses. Whether your preference is riding for pleasure or competing in the show ring, Gail and the highly credentialed staff of the “Lake Oswego Hunt,” are committed to helping you develop the skills necessary to achieve your personal goals.

“Tullymore Farm” offers a relaxed, but serious training environment where the health and well-being of our equine charges is the top priority. Our horses are treated as individuals and great care is taken to address their individual needs.
